For decades, Indonesia’s 17,000 islands have been one of the great missed opportunities in world travel.
The geography is well suited to marine tourism, but the commercial opportunity depends on infrastructure: places for vessels to berth, access to water and electricity, shore-based services and destinations that can accommodate crews and passengers once they arrive.
In 2024, PT Pelindo Properti Indonesia operated in this developing market through Boom Marina Banyuwangi, a waterfront and marina property on the Bali Strait. The site covers more than 440,000 square metres and has been managed by PPI since 2015, combining a yacht marina with commercial, public-space and tourism areas.
Tourism Recovery Strengthened Maritime Travel Demand
Indonesia recorded 13.9 million international visitor arrivals in 2024, as the national tourism market continued its recovery. Bali alone received about 6.33 million direct foreign visitor arrivals during the year, up from 5.27 million in 2023.
Most visitors continued to arrive by air, but maritime traffic was also expanding. Benoa Port in Bali recorded 56 cruise ship calls in 2024, compared with 48 in 2023. Cruise passenger numbers rose from 78,241 to 107,717 over the same period, an increase of almost 38%.
An International Route Through Banyuwangi
In 2024, Boom Marina Banyuwangi hosted two notable marine tourism activities. In October, the marina received 15 yachts from Australia participating in the Sail 2 Indonesia Rally, placing Banyuwangi within an international sailing route through the Indonesian archipelago. In September 2024, Boom Marina also hosted the launch of the “3B” tourism package, which connected West Bali, North Bali, and Banyuwangi in one cross-strait itinerary. Together, these activities demonstrated the marina’s role in supporting yacht arrivals and linking Banyuwangi with nearby tourism markets.
The Story Behind the Numbers
PPI’s position across marina operations, waterfront property, and tourism gives its business a wider context than financial performance alone. Its annual report, therefore, needed to explain not only what the company achieved in 2024 but also how its assets, operations, and strategy responded to the markets around them.
Riset Prima Asia developed PT Pelindo Properti Indonesia’s 2024 Annual Report, bringing financial, operational, governance, and sustainability information together in a single corporate publication.
The work included:
- Developing the annual report structure and narrative
- Preparing bilingual Indonesian and English annual report content
- Consolidating corporate, operational, and financial performance data
- Drafting management analysis and industry outlook sections
- Organising governance and sustainability disclosures
Developed under the theme “Anchoring Value, Elevating Performance,” the report reflects PPI’s stronger financial foundation and improved profitability in 2024, supported by increased liquidity, higher profit margins, and stronger operating performance.

The Outcome
The final report gives stakeholders a clear view of PT Pelindo Properti Indonesia’s performance, strategic priorities, business activities, governance, and future direction. It also presents a consistent corporate story that shows how the company is strengthening its position within Indonesia’s growing maritime property ecosystem.
